The Besla 1100 is a fully electrically powered motor yacht, built in 2020 by Friesland Boating in Koudum. This vessel was designed by Vripack from Sneek and is specifically developed for sustainable and quiet cruising on inland waters. With a length of 11 meters and a width of 4 meters, the Besla 1100 offers a spacious and comfortable living environment on board. The hull is made of steel and features a multi-chine design, which contributes to the stability and sailing characteristics of the ship.
The Besla 1100 is built according to CE standards and comes with a manual that includes all technical specifications and safety guidelines. The build number of this specific model is 2020001. The hull is designed in the style of a raised deck model, giving the ship a robust yet elegant appearance. The clearance height is 3 meters, making the ship suitable for a wide range of sailing areas, including canals, lakes, and other inland waters. The interior headroom is 2 meters, providing a comfortable living space for extended stays on board.
The Besla 1100 is equipped with two Fischer Panda shaft electric motors, each with 10 kW, totaling 30 hp per motor. Both motors are electrically started and have 250 operating hours each. The propulsion is supported by a 28 kW lithium battery pack, which can be fully charged in approximately 6 to 8 hours via a 16-amp shore power connection. Additionally, there is a Fischer Panda 15000i DC/DC generator on board, which runs on 100% HVO diesel and serves as a backup power source. The electrical installation is managed by three Victron Energy MultiPlus devices, which display all relevant information about energy consumption and battery status on a computer screen.
The interior of the Besla 1100 is designed with comfort and functionality in mind. There are four fixed berths, as well as a dining area, a kitchen with a stove and refrigerator, and a separate shower and toilet area. The toilet is electric and connected to a 150-liter waste water tank, preventing discharge into open water. The water tank has a capacity of 300 liters. For heating, a hot air system is chosen, ensuring a pleasant indoor climate even at lower outside temperatures.
The Besla 1100 features dual steering positions, both inside and outside, facilitating navigation in various weather conditions. The boat is equipped with a steering wheel and a dual rudder system, enhancing maneuverability. Thanks to the two motors, it is possible to rotate the ship on the spot without using the electric bow thruster. The cruising speed is 9 km/h, with a maximum speed of 11 km/h. Navigation instruments such as a depth gauge, GPS, compass, and log/speedometer are present.
On deck, the Besla 1100 is equipped with a teak deck, bimini, cockpit tent, outdoor table, cushions, and a swim ladder. For anchoring, there is an electric anchor winch with chain and line. The boat is equipped with standard safety features such as a lifebuoy, self-draining cockpit, and an electric bilge pump. The boat is registered with the Dutch Cadastre under number 39307B2021.
The Besla 1100 has been temporarily used as a demonstration and rental boat, where the ship was tested for reliability and ease of use. The boat has been primarily used on inland waters, canals, and lakes, and has been employed for various purposes such as pleasure cruising, vacations, weekend stays, and commercial demonstrations. The combination of quiet electric propulsion, spacious living area, and modern technology makes this ship suitable for both recreational and semi-professional use.
An extensive brochure is available with the boat, explaining all technical and functional aspects. The boat is not VAT-exempt, and the VAT has not yet been paid.
The Besla 1100 offers a combination of modern technology, spatial comfort, and sustainable propulsion, making the ship an interesting choice for enthusiasts of electric boating.
