The Lek 1 is a fishing boat with an enclosed cabin, in which 2 people can spend the night. This boat is widely used on the southern English coast, the Normandy coast and the Channel Islands, and is also often used for a harbor master. With its robust and sporty appearance, the boat offers good sailing characteristics and is capable of fast sailing.
History of the boat:The boat was designed on the Isle of Wight and originally built by the Souter company, where a total of 500 of these boats were produced. Later the building license was sold to Howard Williams Pembrokeshire, which continues to build the boats in several variations. The Lek 1 was purchased as a hull from broker De Jong, who is an agent of Cygnus Marine. Subsequently, the boat was motorized at Drinkwaard Papendrecht. The pulpit, roof rod stand and stern windlass were purchased from Williams in Pembrokeshire and fitted.
Uses and purposes: The boat is used for pleasure boating, day trips and sporting activities. The Lek 1 is suitable for a variety of waters including ponds, rivers, seas and inland waterways.
Condition and maintenance: The boat is in good condition with some minor defects. The boat is taken out of the water annually for maintenance, including antifouling treatment in 2023. There are no traces of osmosis present. A known defect is the 12-volt cable from the starter key to the engine that needs to be repaired, as sometimes the engine does not respond to turning the key.
The boat is registered with the RDW with number 26-10-YM. VAT. The boat is free of mortgages, encumbrances and/or encumbrances. Documentation, including purchase information of the hull, about the engine installation, repair of the undertail (performed by Fa Drinkwaart Papendrecht) and information about the renewal of the turbo (performed by Fa Stokking Gouda).
