Specifications
The "Belle Mare" is a beautiful teak raft with a rich history and unique character. With its elegant design and craftsmanship, this boat exudes the charm of days gone by. Built in the year 1920 by the famous yard 't Fort Nieuwendam and designed by De Vries Lentsch, this punt is a true example of maritime craftsmanship.
With a length of 500 centimeters and a width of 185 centimeters, the "Belle Mare" has a compact yet spacious layout. The round bilge hull design provides stability and maneuverability, while tiller steering enhances the experience of sailing.
This boat has been meticulously maintained and has an excellent track record. It was last taken out of the water for maintenance in September 2021 and received an antifouling treatment that same year, keeping it in good condition.
The engine, an Albin gasoline O21 with 2 cylinders, is electrically started. With a maximum speed of 8 km/h, the "Belle Mare" offers a relaxing cruising experience.
The interior of the boat is simple but functional, with basic accommodations and a practical layout. There is no water tank, holding tank or toilet on board, but for day trips and pleasure cruising this is often sufficient.
What makes this boat truly special is its history. Built as the dinghy of a Lemmeraak, the "Belle Mare" has more than a century of maritime tradition behind it. It has been part of a family for nearly 60 years, the last 40 of which have been with the current owners. The boat has been thoroughly restored twice, with the most recent restoration being a new foredeck about 6 years ago. A dynastart has been installed for electric starting convenience.
Offered at the sale is not only the boat, but also a collection of special antique boat lights, a loose tow pole, a flagpole with Dutch flag, a pick, a paddle, a jerry can, a set of fenders, a grease gun and other tools.
The "Belle Mare" is not just a boat; it is a piece of nautical history ready for new adventures. With its unique character, excellent maintenance and rich heritage, this teak vlet is a real gem for lovers of classic boats and pleasure boating.
