The two-masted Banjer Oceanic has a length of 1113 cm, a width of 352 cm and a draft of 140 cm. The bowsprit is 200 cm. Built in 1974 of polyester, it offers accommodation for 6 people with a headroom of 200 cm.
The boat received an antifouling treatment in December 2022 with Hempel Globic 9000 that lasts up to 90 months. An osmosis treatment was performed in 2010.
The Banjer was designed by Dick Lefeber and is equipped with a bowsprit and aft cabin. The two-master features an electrically started Perkins engine with an output of 100 hp. The fuel tank capacity is 1,200 gallons, giving the Banjer a range of 1,000 miles. The electrical system is divided into 24v for general use and 12v for electronics, supported by a range of batteries and charging systems, including solar panels and a wind generator.
Accommodation aboard the boat includes a dining area, pillows, mattresses, curtains refrigerator and a shower. There is also a 2-burner stove and pressure petroleum oven. Hot water is available and there are two water tanks of 300 liters each. Waste water is collected in an 85 liter tank. The toilet is manually operated and waste water is discharged directly into the open water. There is no heating on board.
Navigation equipment includes several systems from NKE, as well as traditional instruments such as a compass, depth gauge and GPS. The Banjer two-master has 6 sails and aluminum masts. The Boat is equipped with an electric windlass, swim ladder and davits and a life raft.
