A Ketsch is a longitudinal rigged sailing ship with two masts. The advantages are the flexibility (one can hoist different combinations of sails) and the ease of use (the same sail area is divided over several smaller sails). Because the sails do not reach as high as with a sloop rigged ship, a Ketsch has a slightly lower tendency to tip over in strong winds.
Defects: The engine runs exemplary, but does not cool well anymore. The boat was last taken out of the water 3 years ago for maintenance and anti-fouling.
The next owner will be able to make the Ketsch with some effort back into a neat ship, which effortlessly survives the oceans. There is no trailer included.
