This Trewis 1A is a unique classic sailing yacht. The Zilverwiek is a classic S-fant which after design by E.G. van de Stadt in 1968 is built at Dekker shipyard in Amsterdam. The boat has a displacement of 4.5 tons.
The boat is in 2002 gehmtorized with a Volvo Penta diesel, 18 hp, 2 cylinder.
The ship is fully equipped, drinking water tank, winches, battery, GPS Colour Chartplotter Shipmate RS5900 and M-teck SX35DSC marine radio and Victron Energy inverter; all with instructions. Four Helly Hansen life jackets, stove with gas tank, original underwater toilet (pump renewed in 2012) mast ironing system, winter cover. Original paneling interior of mahogany. The ship is top rigged, has lead ballast and is therefore well equipped for the Dutch inland waterways and suitable for sailing at sea. The hull is built of 3 mm steel plate on flat steel frames. In the keel, 3 mm steel plate stringers are fitted. The keel sole is made of 20 mm plate. The deck and cabin superstructure are also of 3 mm steel plate with angle line trusses and deck beams. All joints are welded. The first owner had the entire hull galvanized at the time of construction so no irregularities have been found now. Then she was white (see first photo) Second owner painted the vessel blue above water and renamed her Right Spirit. Summer 2013 a total refit took place where the entire hull, superstructure and cockpit were sanded, bald spots deep sanded and specially treated with intermediate primer. On the hull is a special adhesion layer set up after which the Polyurea 2 component coating with a special machine hot applied, (white; see photos) back the original name given. Superstructure and cockpit where necessary plastered and varnished. After that refit there has been little sailing, engine is regularly maintained and in good condition.
Work to be done : Mast is bare and must be varnished. The teak deck is original and therefore in need of renewal.
