What is a combinatorial auction?
In a combinatorial auction, multiple assets are first auctioned individually. After the individual auctions, all assets are offered together as a single lot. The highest bidder on the combination takes precedence, provided the total bid exceeds the sum of the individual bids. This gives you, as a buyer, a choice: bid on one vessel or go for the entire fleet.
