inside, you will find a dining area, a galley with a cooker, a refrigerator and mattresses. the headroom is approximately 2 metres, making the saloon and living areas feel spacious. the boat has a shower and a manual toilet. the toilet discharge flows directly into open water. this is an important point to consider when assessing how the boat can be used and the regulations applicable on the water.
the water tank has a capacity of approximately 399 litres. for outdoor living, there are exterior cushions, a cockpit table and a cockpit tent. she is also equipped with davits, bow and stern pulpits, guardrails, fenders and lines, a swimming platform and a swimming ladder. the cockpit therefore provides space for sitting outdoors and using the boat practically during longer stays.
which engines does she have?
the princess 36 riviera is powered by two volvo penta diesel engines. both engines are inboard and, according to the available information, each delivers 480 hp. they have six cylinders, electric starting and date from 1986. the engines are operational and, according to the consignor, underwent major maintenance in 2025.
the fuel tank has a capacity of approximately 500 litres. the stated cruising speed is around 20 kilometres per hour and the maximum speed is around 50 kilometres per hour. these figures depend on the load, water conditions, weather conditions and the current technical condition. onboard equipment includes a fuel tank gauge, oil pressure gauge, temperature gauge and tachometers.
what has been changed in the interior?
according to the information provided, the interior was refurbished in 2025. the cushions, flooring and mattresses were renewed. the cockpit tent was also replaced. this gives the interior a well-maintained and practical foundation, although it remains important to inspect the finish, operation and condition of the various components yourself during the viewing day.
the oven is missing. anyone wishing to cook extensively on board should therefore take the available cooker and galley space into account. the combination of a refrigerator, dining area, berths and sanitary facilities makes her suitable for recreational use by several people, but the practical layout and storage space are best assessed during the viewing.
what equipment and technology are present?
in terms of electrical equipment, the boat has a battery charger, alternator, voltmeter and shore power connection. there are two batteries with a stated combined capacity of 250 ampere-hours. the onboard voltage is 220 volts. navigation and communication equipment includes a compass, log and speedometer, and a VHF radio.
the electric bilge pump helps keep the bilge dry. the exterior equipment includes a swimming ladder, swimming platform, cockpit table, cockpit tent and davits. this combination of facilities makes her suitable for day trips and holidays, allowing you to use the available space both inside and outside.
what should you look out for as a buyer?
anyone looking to buy a boat should look beyond its appearance and layout. during the viewing day, check the operation of the engine controls, instruments, electrical systems, toilet facilities, refrigerator, cooker, lighting and bilge pump. also inspect the condition of the upholstery, mattresses, flooring, cockpit tent, fenders and lines.
for anyone considering buying a second-hand boat, maintenance records and the actual condition of the technical systems are important factors in the assessment. the boat was taken out of the water for maintenance in 2025, and the underwater hull was treated and fitted with antifouling at that time. Ask during the viewing day about the available documentation and inspect the underwater hull and engine room as carefully as possible.
useful boat-buying tips include determining your cruising area, intended use and annual maintenance budget in advance. Also pay attention to the air draft of approximately 2.20 metres, the draught of 1.25 metres and the dimensions of the berth. Due to her length, beam and twin-engine configuration, the princess 36 riviera requires sufficient space and suitable facilities. During the viewing day, you can assess for yourself whether her layout, equipment and overall condition match your plans.
