Hatteras 32 Sport Fly now available in the online auction. Everyone can place bids until 19 October 2026.
Why is this Hatteras interesting?
The Hatteras 32 Sport Fly stands out for her spacious layout and solid appearance. She has a V-shaped hull, a single rudder system and exterior steering. The flybridge adds an extra dimension to the boating experience, while the bathing platform with swim ladder provides easy access to the water. Thanks to her generous beam, the boat feels stable and spacious, both in the cockpit and in the interior.
The owner used her at sea for day trips and weekend stays. A special memory is the cruises along the islands of Capraia and Elba. This suits the character of the model well: she is suitable for relaxed cruising, while her speed also provides sufficient reserve for longer passages.
What accommodation is available on board?
Inside, the boat can accommodate four people, with two fixed berths and two additional berths. The saloon has a dining area and mattresses, making her suitable for overnight stays and multi-day cruises. For additional comfort, air conditioning, a refrigerator, microwave and shower are provided. The electric toilet does not discharge directly into the open water.
The living space is practically arranged for use during weekends and holidays. Her interior offers sufficient opportunities to dine and relax inside, or to shelter during less favourable weather. Outside, the flybridge, cockpit and bathing platform provide additional living space. The available exterior cushions and bimini contribute to comfort on sunny days.
Which engines does the boat have?
The Hatteras is powered by two Caterpillar 3208 DIT diesel engines. Both are installed inboard and feature electric starting. Each engine produces 304 hp and has eight cylinders. The starboard engine has been overhauled and, according to the information provided, has approximately 60 operating hours. The port engine has been inspected and is listed as having approximately 1,800 operating hours. Both engines are operational.
The stated cruising speed is approximately 14 knots, while the maximum speed is approximately 24 knots. Fuel consumption is specified as approximately 40 litres per hour per engine. The total capacity of the diesel fuel tank is approximately 1,000 litres. On board are, among other things, a fuel gauge, oil-pressure gauge, temperature gauges and tachometers. Prospective buyers are advised to assess the operation of the engines themselves during a viewing.
What nautical equipment is present?
For navigation, the boat is equipped with an autopilot, compass and VHF radio. The electrical installation consists of a battery charger, alternator, inverter, voltmeter, shore-power connection and solar panel. There are two batteries with a total capacity of 540 Ah. The system operates on 12 and 220 volts. For anchoring, the boat is equipped with an anchor and 60 metres of chain, operated by an electric windlass. The exterior equipment also includes a bimini, stainless-steel bow and stern rails, a guardrail, fenders, mooring lines, a bathing platform and swim ladder. In terms of safety equipment, the boat has a lifebuoy, life raft, electric bilge pump and self-draining cockpit. A trailer or dinghy is not included in this lot.
What is the technical and cosmetic condition?
According to the information provided, the boat is in fair condition. She was lifted out of the water for maintenance in 2026, and antifouling was applied in the same year. No signs of osmosis or evidence thereof have been reported. The polyester hull and V-shaped bottom provide a solid foundation for further use.
As a point requiring attention, it has been noted that the condition of the windows and glazing should be checked. A viewing is therefore important in order to assess the glazing, seals, interior finish and all technical systems personally. As with any used boat of this age, maintenance and any modifications to suit the new owner’s preferences may form part of future ownership.
