Engine and Performance
Under the hood is a Mercruiser 5.7-liter V8 inboard engine with a power of 250 hp. This engine, also from 1996, has a running time of 550 hours. The engine is electrically started and runs on gasoline. The fuel tank has a capacity of 150 liters, which is sufficient for longer day trips without needing to refuel.
The Maxum 2100 SC reaches a cruising speed of approximately 35 km/h and a top speed of about 73 km/h. Thanks to the powerful V8 engine combined with a five-blade propeller, the boat can quickly and efficiently pull water sports enthusiasts such as wakeboarders and funtube users out of the water. This makes the boat suitable for active recreation on the water.
Interior and Comfort
The onboard accommodation is simple and geared towards day use. There are mattresses available, providing the opportunity to rest or relax briefly while sailing. The electrical installation consists of an alternator, voltmeter, and two batteries with a 12V system. The onboard instruments include a fuel gauge, oil pressure gauge, temperature gauge, and tachometer, contributing to a good overview of the engine status while sailing.
Equipment and Deck Gear
The Maxum 2100 SC is equipped with various amenities for comfort and safety on deck. There are two anchors present, secured with chain and line. An electric bilge pump ensures the removal of any water that may have entered. The boat features a bimini, deck covers, a cockpit tent, fenders, and lines. At the rear, there is a swim platform with a swim ladder, facilitating easy entry and exit from the water.
Maintenance and Condition
The current owner has had the boat for a year and a half, and it was previously owned by a colleague for four years. During this period, the boat has been taken out of the water annually for maintenance, including the application of a new layer of antifouling. The last antifouling treatment took place in 2024. The boat is technically functional and operational. The exterior of the boat could benefit from a cleaning and polishing, which would enhance its appearance.
Usage and Sailing Experience
The Maxum 2100 SC has been used on inland waters such as lakes and rivers. The boat has been employed for pleasure cruising and day trips. Due to the combination of speed, maneuverability, and pulling power, the boat is suitable for water sports activities. The V-bottom contributes to a stable ride, even at higher speeds.
