Construction and Material Use
The hull and superstructure of the Atlantic 52 are made of polyester. This material is known for its low-maintenance properties and durability. The boat is finished in gelcoat, providing a smooth surface and a uniform appearance. The construction is delivered as a hull and then placed in storage, allowing for further completion or customization.
Interior and Living Space
Inside, the Atlantic 52 offers a headroom of 3 meters, creating a spacious feel in the interior. There are eight fixed berths available, spread over multiple decks. The layout consists of a lower deck, mid-deck, and an upper side with a flybridge. The foredeck offers extra space for relaxation or storage, and there are anchor lockers for safely storing anchor equipment.
Steering and Maneuverability
The steering of the Atlantic 52 is done via a steering wheel on the flybridge. The boat is equipped with an electrically powered bow thruster, which facilitates maneuvering in harbors or when docking. The rudder system consists of a dual rudder configuration, contributing to control and stability while sailing. The boat is designed for two propeller shafts, indicating a configuration focused on speed and agility.
Motorization and Technical Equipment
Currently, there is no engine installed in the Atlantic 52. This offers the opportunity to choose an engine configuration that suits the intended use, whether for inland waters, coastal navigation, or longer journeys. The boat is prepared for fast propulsion, fitting the glider-type design.
Special Features and Sailing Characteristics
The Atlantic 52 is designed as a glider-type motor yacht, meaning the vessel is built for higher speeds and efficient water displacement. The combination of a V-bottom and dual propeller shafts contributes to stable and fast sailing. The flybridge offers an elevated vantage point for the skipper and extra space for passengers. The upper deck is spaciously designed, with ample room for recreation or sunbathing. The presence of multiple decks ensures a clear separation between living and steering functions.
History and Current Condition
Since its construction in 2018, the boat has been stored as a hull. There are no known defects or signs of osmosis. The boat has not been in the water, and no antifouling treatment has been applied. This provides an opportunity for a buyer to complete the finishing and equipment according to their own preferences.
Conclusion
The Atlantic 52 is a spacious motor yacht with a hull configuration that offers possibilities for further completion. With its generous dimensions, flybridge, dual rudders, and preparation for powerful motorization, the vessel is suitable for a variety of sailing conditions. The combination of a V-bottom and glider design makes it an interesting choice for those seeking a fast-sailing yacht with plenty of living space and a solid foundation for personalization.
