Tukkervlet 960AK – Steel Motor Sloop with Dual Steering and Spacious Accommodation
The Tukkervlet 960AK is a steel motor sloop of Dutch make, built in 1983 by boat builder Tukker. This sloop is registered with the Dutch Cadastre under number 24153 B R 1999 and was transferred to the current owner on September 27, 2011. With a length of 9.60 meters, a width of 3.25 meters, and a draft of 0.90 meters, this vessel is suitable for various inland waters. The clearance height is approximately 2.50 meters, allowing it to pass under many bridges.
The hull of the Tukkervlet is made of steel and has a chine shape, which contributes to stability and sailing characteristics. The ship weighs approximately 10,000 kilograms. In 2014, the underwater hull was blasted, an important maintenance measure for steel ships. The last antifouling treatment took place in 2022, when the ship was also last taken out of the water for maintenance.
The Tukkervlet is equipped with a JMR RE4 four-cylinder diesel engine with a cylinder capacity of 2600 cc and a power of 60 hp. The engine is from the year 1982 and is started electrically. The cruising speed is around 15 kilometers per hour. The fuel tank has a capacity of 400 liters, providing a large range. The steering is dual: the ship can be operated both inside and outside via a steering wheel. An electric bow thruster facilitates maneuvering in harbors and docking.
The electrical installation on board is equipped with 220V and 24V systems. There are four batteries, which are charged via a battery charger, alternator, inverter, and solar panel. A shore power connection is available. Navigation equipment includes a compass, log/speedometer, and a VHF radio. Additionally, the ship is equipped with navigation lights, a radio, and a television.
Inside, the Tukkervlet offers a headroom of 1.90 meters, providing a comfortable living space. There are two fixed berths and four additional berths available, distributed over the salon and the fore and aft cabins. The accommodation includes a dining area, mattresses, refrigerator, freezer, and a stove. The cushions have been reupholstered. The water tank has a capacity of 200 liters. The toilet is manually operated and discharges directly into open water.
On deck, the Tukkervlet is equipped with a bimini, davits, fenders and lines, a guardrail, a swim platform, and a swim ladder. An anchor with chain and line is present, although no windlass is installed. In terms of safety, there are two fire extinguishers, a lifebuoy, life jackets, and two gas lockers at the rear.
The Tukkervlet has mainly been used on inland waters for pleasure cruising, day trips, and vacations. The current owner cites comfort, stability, space, and maneuverability as characteristic features of the ship. The boat is delivered with a full inventory, including Cadastre documentation. No trailer or dinghy is included.
This Tukkervlet 960AK offers a combination of robust construction, practical layout, and functional equipment, suitable for longer stays on board and recreational use on inland waters.
