The Fearless is a classic IW-31 sailboat designed by renowned designer duo Sparkman & Stephens, measuring 9.45 meters long, 2.70 meters wide and with a draft of 1.65 meters. The hull is made of durable polyester and has a round-bilge shape, providing excellent sailing characteristics and stability on the water.
Inside the Fearless there is a comfortable and functional interior. The headroom of 1.80 meters provides ample space for easy movement. The boat offers sleeping accommodation for five people, with the possibility of an additional berth if needed. The accommodation is equipped with curtains and mattresses. The stove provides the ability to prepare meals on board. The manual toilet facility discharges directly into open water. The water tank has a capacity of 100 liters. A hot-air heater is available for colder days.
The Fearless is equipped with a 2011 Volvo Penta engine, rated at 10 hp and 300 hours of operation. The engine starts electrically and has an average fuel consumption of 1.6 liters per hour, with a fuel tank of 45 liters. The maximum speed of the boat is 13 kilomer per hour. Electricity on board is provided by two batteries, which are charged through a battery charger and shore power connection. The electrical system operates on 12V.
For navigation and communication, the Fearless is well equipped with a compass, depth gauge, autopilot, chart plotter, VHF and GPS. These instruments make the boat easy to navigate.
The rigging of the Fearless consists of an aluminum mast with a headsail furling system. The boat has four sails: a mainsail, storm jib, genoa and jib, all of which are in adequate condition.
On deck, the Fearless is equipped with a spray hood, fenders and lines, and a crane hoist. There are two anchors on board, attached by chain.
The general condition of the Fearless is good, with only a few minor defects. There is a small leakage to port and starboard. The last maintenance service took place in the winter of 2023/2024, during which the boat was out of the water. Antifouling treatment was performed in April 2024. There are no signs of osmosis present.
The Fearless offers an excellent balance of classic design, sailing performance and comfort, ideal for both short trips and longer sailing adventures.
