The Natasha 40 was built in 1968 in the Werft-Staack Lübeck by Fritz Staack. Staack yard has made a limited number of these boats. It has an extraordinary shape and is ready to sail the world. The steel and teak is very well maintained over the years. The boat has had a full service in November 2019. A new layer of anti-fouling public has been applied, the wood and steel has been machined where necessary and all seals have been replaced. The boat is currently located in Bonaire on a private berth. This can also be taken over or the boat can be brought to Europe via Sint-Maarten. This can be arranged at extra cost.
The engine of the Natasha 40 is a Mercedes Benz OM 636, 36 HP Diesel with variable gear. Equipped with a solid rubber Propeller Fix propeller, 3 blades. Engine cooling over the hull, dry exhaust system, brass pipes, stainless steel silencer, heat insulation. The engine was recently serviced, when all parts needed were replaced. However, cylinder 3 in the engine still needs to be adjusted, it leaks a bit of oil. This is not a big problem but needs to be repaired.
The Natasha 40 is in good condition. Spare parts are included with the boat as well: Yamaha 8 HP outboard engine for the dinghy; lots of detailed cartographic material; books; ICBOM Navigation instruments . The boat is fully equipped to cross oceans (incl. medicines and first aid). The sails of the boat are in top condition. The boat was out of the water for the last time in October 2019, when it also had an anti-fouling treatment.
