Specifications
The Bakdekker 20 is a unique example of which only one has been built. It is a wooden boat with a fiberglass reinforced epoxy outer layer, the boat is finished with Mahogany. The boat looks like a mini version of the famous Rapsody. The windscreens of the Bakdekker 20 are demountable to reduce the clearance height, so you are hardly dependent on the bridge keeper to open the bridge in almost all waters in the Netherlands.
The engine is newly installed in 2014 and has around 350 revolutions, propeller driven via a water-lubricated propeller shaft. In the cockpit is room for 4 persons and in the front is a sleeping place for 2 persons. The Bakdekker 20 is also equipped with storage space in the form of some shelves in the front and under the bench in the cockpit. Present are navigation lights, fire extinguisher, mooring lines and fenders, electrical connection for 12 volts cool box or USB charging point, a swivel and movable wooden steering seat. The boat is also equipped with a chemical toilet.
