The stallion 41 was built around 1975 by Paul Boots, after an original wooden stallion and the building plans of Jules van Beylen (the CLI 1). In 1982 the boat was sold to its current owner. The boat has a steel hull, the cabin superstructure is made of teak as well as the gangways, and the interior panelling is made of oak. The stallion 41 is a fine boat that is also seaworthy.
Inside on the port side a toilet (pump toilet) with sink, galley with sink, oven and 3 burner gas stove (gas hoses will be replaced in 2020). To starboard a dog cage, cupboard space and sofa. In the front to port a 2 persons cage and to starboard a 1 person cage. Under the foredeck, in e wide bow still a storage space for sails, ropes and fenders. Also a separate bun for 2 gas cylinders.
The stallion 41 is in good condition, there are known flaws. The steel hull is well maintained, but the woodwork (deck, mast, boom and gaff, side swords and rudder) has some overdue maintenance. In 2015 the last time a flat thickness measurement was carried out on the underwater hull, this report is included in the appendix. In short, the stallion 41 is a complete seaworthy vessel that is suitable for nice trips on the water.
