Specifications
The Dufour 385 Grand Large is a magnificent sailboat that harmoniously combines craftsmanship, comfort and performance. With a length of 11.72 meters, a width of 3.93 meters and a draft of 1.76 meters, this boat offers a balanced mix of stability and maneuverability. The polyester material from which the hull is made, combined with the round bilge design, provides excellent sailing characteristics and a sleek appearance.
The exterior of the boat is well thought out, with steering wheel steering in the outer cockpit for direct and responsive operation. The single rudder contributes to maneuverability, while the teak decks on the gunwale and swim platform add a touch of elegance to the overall look. With a headroom of 17.0 meters.
The interior of the Dufour 385 Grand Large is designed with comfort and functionality in mind. With a headroom of 2.10 meters inside, the cabin feels spacious and light. Accommodations include a dining area, comfortable cushions, a shower, an oven, a refrigerator and a well-equipped kitchen with stove. The hot water heater adds a touch of luxury to the onboard stay.
With six berths divided into two cabins, this Dufour offers plenty of room for a family outing or an adventure with friends. The toilet is manually operated, and the fact that the toilet drains directly into the open water emphasizes the careful design.
The 40-hp Volvo Penta diesel engine provides power for smooth cruising. The available navigation and electronic equipment, including a chart plotter, autopilot and VHF radio, provides the necessary tools for safe navigation.
What makes this boat even more attractive is the extensive rigging with an aluminum mast and five sails, including two mainsails, two genuas and a gennaker. The furling and reefing system adds to the ease of operating the sails, even during changing weather conditions.
The boat is well equipped for outdoor activities, with an electric windlass, spray hood, swim ladder, cockpit table and outdoor cushions. The dinghy with Yamaha outboard motor adds flexibility to your adventures.
Safety features, including lifebuoys, fire extinguishers (whose expiration date should be checked) and an electric bilge pump, ensure safety on board.
