A striking, nostalgic boat for the enthusiast. Enjoying the ultimate feeling of freedom. Ready to sail and a unique specimen! This indestructible sloop, made of galvanized steel and recently taken out of the water for maintenance, has served at the time of the second world war as a lifeboat on a Liberty warship. Later the cabin was built into it.
A nostalgic boat, suitable for cruises including overnight stays, because the most necessary facilities including a fixed toilet are on board. We ourselves have made many trips with this sloop on the Vecht, the Zwarte Water, the Wieden, the Weerribben and the canal in Zwolle.
The boat sails on an Albin O21 (2 cylinder 4 stroke petrol) engine. In 2019, the carburetor and engine for a large part overhauled. There are 2 new batteries installed; 1 for the starter motor and 1 for the facilities. There is a bimini installed which protects the seating area from bright sun and a rain shower.
Boat has a permanent berth in Zwolle on the Vecht, transferable in consultation.

Nice to see this boat back. This sloop was bought in the early 60's by my father as a rescue boat complete with tanks and benches. Rebuilt to sailing sloop + 2 x mast and bowsprit. Keel under welded, rudder adjusted etc. Many years sailing with our parents and 5 children. I recognize the boat by many details. Teak woodwork with copper screws, original cockpit was also with teak strips. The boat is completely finished on the KZC Kralingse Zeil Club. see photo)
