This 2004 Beneteau Antares has undergone several renewals: the stern thruster, frigo, oven and cooktop have been renewed on electricity. There is a 220 V powerful inverter installed as well as a new diesel generator. The boat does need some attention. The French company Beneteau was founded in 1884 and is now a world-famous player in the field of motorboats and sailboats.
Due to the longer idle time and lack of hull treatment, weeds and algae have grown more than normal on the hull. This is not osmosis, so there are no signs of osmosis. The zinc blocks, trim plates and screws should be thoroughly cleaned for optimum performance, as should everything below the waterline.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- The Beneteau was last out of the water for maintenance in 2020.
- Known defects: there is a problem with the trim plates, but may also be stuck due to algae growth. Air conditioning needs maintenance.Ship needs to be out of the water for treatment of the hull and antifouling and renewing the zinc anodes.
