Domp 27 / Domp Sailing Cruiser 825. This is a steel seaworthy cabin sailing yacht with a length of 27 feet/8.25 meters. The yacht has an inboard diesel engine and is equipped with a lightweight aluminum mast and boom, including very complete sailing rigging. The boat has 2 jibs, 2 genoa's and a mainsail. In 2020, the paint above the waterline was completely renewed. On the deck, the paint is already slightly older. The self-bailing cockpit has teak benches with a tiller that folds away when not in use. This leaves plenty of room to sit outside. Possibly also an outdated autopilot can be taken over.
On the inside the ship has 5 fixed sleeping places: 2 single beds in the cabin, a cozy double bed in the point and a spacious single bed in the dog cage. There is also a kitchenette on board with a 2 burner stove and a sink with a tap. The stove tilts over so you can also cook while sailing. The table in the spacious cabin can be rotated so that you can easily turn it out of the way or fix it in any other desired position. There is also a toilet on board, this is a few seasons old and in a good condition. For refrigerated products we also have a large cooler on board which can be connected to shore power and gas. This makes you not dependent on shore power for cooling. In the bunker (so outside) is room for 2 gas cylinders for cooking and cooling. Both original windows on the side of the cabin have been replaced in the last 2 years for larger windows, so there is much more light and you can look outside more easily.
In the boat is a single-cylinder 10hp Faryman A30. This reliable, good running diesel engine has always been maintained by a mechanic until 2021 and runs well. The power of 10 hp is enough power to get the boat off the ground well and sail against strong winds. A few seasons back there is a thick sturdy winter tarp specially made (See photo 20) This gives the boat in winter perfect protection against all weather conditions and keeps it in good condition. While thanks to ventilation everything stays dry. The winter tent was a real asset. All in all, it concerns a beautiful cabin yacht which can be sailed immediately.
The inside of the boat has been sanded down completely and repainted and rebuilt. The ceiling of the cabin is insulated. There are also new electrics installed with LED lighting. This is so far finished that everything can be used and functions. For the full finish there are still a few things to be finished and completed. It is the ideal boat for someone who wants a boat that can be sailed right away and that you can go on vacation with, but who also likes to take care of the last details and finishing. As said, this is not necessary to be able to go out with it.
At the moment the boat is in the harbor of Warns, Friesland. From this port you have access to the IJsselmeer within 20 minutes and you are also on the Frisian lakes in no time. The berth can be taken over but that is not a requirement.
