Blauwe Hand Cruiser 1120 for inland waters
What type of boat is the Blauwe Hand Cruiser 1120?
This 1982 Blauwe Hand Cruiser 1120 is a steel motorboat measuring approximately 11.20 metres in length, 3.60 metres in beam and with a draft of around 1.00 metre. She was designed for relaxed trips on inland waterways, lakes, ponds and rivers. Thanks to her spacious layout, the boat offers four permanent berths. With the additional sleeping options, a total of six people can stay overnight on board.
The boat is in reasonable condition and requires cosmetic maintenance. This makes her particularly interesting for someone looking for a spacious cruiser who is willing to spend time and attention on her appearance. The basic equipment is present, but it is advisable to carefully assess during the viewing day which work you may wish to carry out in the future.
Blauwe Hand Cruiser 1120 now in the online auction. Everyone can place bids until 14 December 2026.
What is the layout on board?
Inside, the Blauwe Hand Cruiser has practical accommodation for longer day trips and multi-day stays. There is a dining area where you can eat or relax together, as well as a refrigerator and a cooking appliance for preparing simple meals on board. The mattresses present make the berths immediately usable. There is also a shower and an electric toilet.
The wheelhouse provides shelter in changing weather conditions. Part of the wooden ceiling in the wheelhouse is open. This is a known point of attention and requires repair or further finishing. The woodwork and interior give her a characteristic appearance, but the buyer is advised to carefully assess the condition of the woodwork and the rest of the interior finish during the viewing day.
Which engine does she have?
The boat is equipped with a single DAF 575 diesel engine. This six-cylinder inboard engine delivers 105 hp. According to the available information, the engine is operational. The propulsion system is suitable for the use for which this cruiser was originally intended: peaceful trips on various inland waterways.
In addition to the main engine, she has an electric bow thruster. This can assist with manoeuvring in harbours and while mooring. The electrical system operates at 12 volts and is supported by a solar panel. The presence of a VHF radio provides an additional means of communication on board. During the viewing day, you can inspect the engine room, the visible connections and the general condition of the technical installation.
What outdoor space and equipment does she offer?
Outside, the Blauwe Hand Cruiser has a spacious aft deck with a bimini. This creates a sheltered place where you can sit, eat or enjoy the view during a trip. The teak deck gives her a distinctive classic appearance. At the stern, there is a swimming platform and a bathing ladder.
The boat is supplied with davits, an anchor, fenders and lines. There is also a lifebuoy on board. A tender is not included in the offer. The sale also includes a storage trailer. According to the available information, this trailer is in good condition and may be practical for storing the boat, depending on the situation and the possibilities at your location.
What is the background of this cruiser?
The motorboat belonged to the now-deceased parents of the current seller. They bought her from the previous owner on 5 April 2001. In the years that followed, the boat was used for recreational boating in the Netherlands and Belgium. The seller’s father was a professional skipper and spent a great deal of time looking after the boat. A few years ago, his health made this no longer possible.
The Blauwe Hand Cruiser was last taken out of the water for maintenance in 2026. No information is available about the most recent antifouling treatment. Her history and use on inland waterways, lakes, ponds and rivers give her a clear background as a recreational motorboat for relaxed cruising.
Who is this boat suitable for?
This cruiser may suit you if you are looking for a steel motorboat with a spacious layout, multiple berths and a sheltered aft deck.
