Winsome 550 launch with Vetus diesel engine
What kind of boat is the Winsome 550?
The Winsome 550 is a stylish polyester launch from 2013, built by AVR Watersport. With a length of 5.50 metres and a beam of 2.15 metres, she offers space for up to six people. The round-bilged hull ensures comfortable handling and a smooth ride on inland waterways, canals, ditches, lakes, ponds and rivers. Thanks to her shallow draught of approximately 40 centimetres, she is also well suited to shallower waters.
This boat combines the practical qualities of polyester with the warm appearance of teak and mahogany. The interior has an inviting atmosphere and is ideal for relaxing day trips, a picnic on the water or a peaceful cruise on a sunny afternoon. A rope fender runs around the boat. This protects her when mooring and at the same time gives the Winsome 550 the distinctive appearance of a classic launch.
Winsome 550 now in the online auction. Everyone can place a bid until 19 October 2026.
How does this polyester launch perform?
The Winsome 550 is equipped with a 16 hp Vetus M206A402A diesel engine. This three-cylinder inboard engine from 2013 is electrically started and has recorded 331 operating hours. It provides a comfortable cruising speed of approximately 10 kilometres per hour and can reach a maximum speed of around 18 kilometres per hour. Fuel consumption is approximately 3 litres per hour, depending on load, wind and cruising conditions.
The engine is operated from the outdoor helm position using a steering wheel and hydraulic steering. This makes the boat pleasant and precise to manoeuvre, including when approaching a jetty or making a tight turn in a narrow ditch. The water-lubricated propeller shaft, bronze propeller and single rudder blade together form a practical propulsion system for relaxed pleasure cruising.
What equipment is included on board?
On board you will find a fuel gauge, oil pressure gauge, temperature gauge and tachometer. The electrical system operates at 12 volts and includes an alternator, voltmeter and one battery with a capacity of 40 Ah. An electric bilge pump is fitted to keep the bilge dry. The fuel tank has a capacity of 50 litres, giving you sufficient range for longer day trips without having to constantly look for a mooring with refuelling facilities.
The exterior equipment is focused on comfort and ease of use. The boat has exterior cushions, a boat cover, a cockpit table, fenders and mooring lines. The teak deck gives her a neat, nautical appearance and provides a pleasant surface when boarding. An anchor with line is included for relaxing on the water or making a short stop in a sheltered bay.
Is the Winsome 550 suitable for day trips?
Yes, this launch is designed for relaxing day trips with family or friends. The high sides provide comfortable seating and give passengers a sense of protection while cruising. The forward area can be used as a seating area or sun lounger. Five storage lockers are incorporated into the benches, allowing you to store towels, provisions, boating equipment and personal belongings out of sight.
The floor is fitted with atmospheric lighting, adding extra appeal during an evening cruise. For music on the way, a radio with USB connection is available. Using four 75-watt speakers, you can play music from your mobile device. The navigation lights make it possible to continue your route responsibly around sunset, always in accordance with the applicable navigation rules and conditions.
What is the condition of the boat?
According to the information provided, the Winsome 550 is in fresh condition. She was taken out of the water for maintenance in 2026, and the antifouling treatment was also carried out that year. The combination of polyester, teak and mahogany makes her appealing to enthusiasts of classic launches who want to combine style with practical use.
The boat covers, exterior cushions, mooring lines and other mentioned accessories are included. For a complete impression of her condition, operation and finish, it is of course advisable to inspect her personally during the viewing day. The auction information and your own inspection together form the basis for your bid through BoatAuction.
Can the boat be transported by road?
Yes, the Winsome 550 is supplied with a single-axle road trailer without a registration plate. This trailer was built in 2025 and is equipped with five rollers and a trailer winch. It is unbraked and non-tilting. The stated load capacity is 750 kilograms and the listed weight of the trailer is 800 kilograms. Before transporting the boat, always check that the combination is suitable for your towing vehicle, driving licence, route and the applicable regulations.
The trailer offers a practical solution for anyone wishing to move her between different cruising areas or store the boat on their own property outside the boating season. This makes the launch interesting not only for owners with a permanent berth, but also for water sports enthusiasts who enjoy discovering new lakes, rivers and recreational areas.
