defender 550 now in the online auction. everyone can bid up to and including 24 august 2026.
what makes the defender 550 so versatile?
her versatility lies in her layout and character. as a console boat with external steering wheel control, she is clear and pleasant to operate, even when heading out with two people or with friends. her aluminium hull is practical in use and suits an active boating style, while the v-bottom helps her track well and remain comfortable on more open water. the owner describes her as multifunctional: quiet cruising through nature areas, making a brisk crossing, or a day of fishing. that aligns well with what many watersports enthusiasts look for when browsing online for a sporty 5.5-metre console boat.
how is she equipped for immediate use?
this defender 550 comes with several items that make getting started easy. she has a pvc floor, providing a neat, practical finish on board. there are also exterior cushions, so you can sit comfortably during a trip or when anchored. fenders and lines are included as well, along with mooring lines. overall, the package is aimed at carefree departures: arrive at the slipway, launch and go boating.
what can you expect from the yamaha 50 hp?
mounted on the transom is a 50 hp yamaha outboard with electric start. the engine was newly installed in 2026 and, according to the information provided, has only 1 running hour. it runs on petrol and is intended to give the defender 550 lively yet manageable handling. for many buyers, that combination is exactly the appeal: an aluminium boat with a 50 hp outboard that is suitable for relaxed touring as well as more sporty boating when the water and conditions allow.
is the trailer suitable to head out straight away?
yes, the included freewheel trailer is a braked road trailer with registration (74-wjf-3), fitted with a trailer winch and a single axle. with a stated weight of 500 kg, it is intended as a suitable partner for this set. for anyone looking for a boat with trailer, it is convenient that you don’t have to puzzle separately over sizing and support: this combination has been put together as a complete package. that also makes her attractive for watersports enthusiasts who like to visit different cruising areas and store the boat at home.
what about maintenance and known points of attention?
the boat was last taken out of the water for maintenance in 2026, and the antifouling treatment was also carried out that same year. no defects are known. this provides a clear starting point for interested parties considering a defender 550 aluminium boat and wanting to know in advance what to expect. the available documentation consists of sales documents.
anyone wanting to make her look even more personal can, according to the owner, consider a tough wrap to give the whole package extra character. but even as she is now, the defender 550 is above all an invitation to get back on the water: a complete, trailerable console boat with yamaha 50 hp, cushion set and accessories, ready to build new memories on inland waterways, lakes and rivers.
