Specifications
Vlet 350 – Steel Sloop with Outboard Motor
General Characteristics of the Vlet 350
The Vlet 350 is a compact steel sloop with a length of 3.50 meters and a width of 1.00 meter. Thanks to its shallow draft of 25 centimeters, this boat is suitable for use on shallow inland waters, such as canals, lakes, and rivers. The vessel is made of steel, which contributes to the robustness of the hull.
Vlet 350 now in the online auction. Everyone can bid until March 16, 2026.
Construction and Material Use
The hull of the Vlet 350 is entirely constructed of steel. This material is known for its strength and durability. In 2025, the boat was taken out of the water for maintenance. During this period, the hull was treated with a new layer of antifouling, which improves resistance to algae and mussel growth. Additionally, the boat is coated with multiple layers of paint, including two layers of primer, two layers of lacquer, and a layer of two-component epoxy. This treatment contributes to the protection of the steel against external influences.
Propulsion and Motorization
The Vlet 350 is equipped with an outboard motor from the brand Yamaha. This motor has a power of 4 hp and runs on gasoline. The outboard motor is suitable for calm water traffic on inland waters. With this engine power, the boat is primarily intended for recreational use, such as tours or short trips in calm water areas. The motor configuration allows the boat to be easily maneuvered, even in narrow or busy waters.
Interior and Equipment
The interior of the Vlet 350 has been recently updated. The boat is equipped with new seating and cushions, enhancing onboard comfort. The layout is simple and functional, aimed at day trips with a small group. The open cockpit offers sufficient space for multiple passengers, depending on the weight and distribution on board. The finish is tailored for practical use, with attention to ease of maintenance and user-friendliness.
Maintenance and Recent Work
In July 2025, the boat was taken out of the water for extensive maintenance. During this period, various tasks were performed, including rust removal, hull sanding, and the application of multiple protective layers. The combination of primer, lacquer, and epoxy contributes to the longevity of the steel. The interior was also addressed, with new seating and upholstery. These tasks were carried out with a view to long-term use on inland waters.
Suitability and Use
The Vlet 350 is designed for use on inland waters. Due to its small size and low engine power, the boat is suitable for calm trips in urban canals, lakes, or small rivers. The boat is easy to transport on a trailer and can be quickly launched. The steel construction allows the boat to be used in both spring and autumn, provided the weather conditions permit.
Conclusion
The Vlet 350 is a compact steel sloop with a simple outboard motor, suitable for recreational use on inland waters. The boat has been recently treated and equipped with new gear, which enhances comfort and hull protection. Thanks to its small size, the boat is maneuverable and easy to handle, both on the water and during transport. The combination of steel, a gasoline engine, and an open cockpit makes this model suitable for short trips with a limited number of passengers.
