Cormorant Fury 425 now in the online auction. Everyone can bid until January 19, 2026.
Design and Sailing Characteristics
The hull of the Cormorant Fury 425 is designed with a pronounced V-shape, contributing to smooth sailing, even at higher speeds or in rougher waters. This hull structure makes the boat particularly suitable for activities such as water skiing, for which it was originally used. The boat is lightweight and responds directly to tiller steering, providing a dynamic and enjoyable sailing experience. Thanks to the double floor design, water is efficiently drained, enhancing safety and comfort on board.
The boat is equipped with a 40 hp Force outboard motor. Although the motor requires a major service, the hull can support a more powerful engine up to 100 hp. This makes the vessel attractive for those seeking extra power for sporty purposes.
Comfort and Layout
Inside, the Cormorant Fury 425 is surprisingly spacious. The seats are equipped with comfortable cushions with adjustable backrests that can be fully reclined. This creates a large sun deck across the full width of the boat, ideal for relaxing on sunny days on the water. Storage options are integrated around the inside of the hull, keeping personal belongings safe and within reach while sailing.
The open cockpit offers enough space for a family of five. Thanks to the smart design, a panoramic 180-degree view is possible from the steering position, making navigation simple and clear. The throttle and controls are ergonomically placed, ensuring the skipper has everything within reach.
Equipment and Accessories
The boat comes with various equipment pieces that enhance ease of use and safety. On deck, there are fenders, lines, a swim ladder, and a deck cover. Two anchors are included for safe mooring in open water. For safety, a lifebuoy is included. The boat features a 12V electrical system with a 12-amp battery.
An important advantage is the included road trailer. This trailer is tiltable, has a telescopic frame, and is equipped with 19 rollers and a hand winch. Thanks to the robust design and a load capacity of 2 tons, transporting the boat is easy and safe. The trailer is suitable for use with a vehicle with a tow hitch and offers flexibility for those who want to use the boat in different locations.
History and Use
The current owner has had the boat since 1984 and primarily used it during the summer months on the French Mediterranean coast. During the winter months, the boat was taken out of the water and stored. The boat has been used for various activities such as day trips, sporty sailing, vacations, and weekend getaways. The combination of stability, space, and ease of use makes the Cormorant Fury 425 an attractive choice for both novice and experienced water sports enthusiasts.
Conclusion
The Cormorant Fury 425 is a characterful motorboat with a sporty appearance and practical features. Thanks to its stable sailing behavior, spacious layout, and versatile usability, this vessel is extremely suitable for families, sporty water sports enthusiasts, and lovers of day trips on the sea or inland waters.
