The Bege Fly 900 is a steel motorboat of Dutch origin, built in 1991 by the Bege shipyard, a family business from Friesland. This specific model is one of only two units built by the yard, giving the vessel a unique character. With a length of 9.00 meters, a width of 2.45 meters, and a draft of 0.50 meters, this boat is suitable for various inland waters, lakes, ponds, and rivers. The clearance height of approximately 2.50 meters allows it to pass under most bridges, significantly expanding its navigation possibilities.
Inside, the Bege Fly 900 offers a headroom of 1.85 meters, providing a comfortable living space. The boat has two fixed berths and one additional berth, spread over three bunks. The accommodation includes a dining area, refrigerator, freezer, stove, and mattresses. There is a manual toilet on board, with the discharge directly connected to open water. A heater is available for heating. The woodwork shows condensation damage in some areas, and the cushions need replacement or reupholstering.
In 2023, the boat was equipped with a new Craftsman Marine diesel engine with a power of 42 hp (31 kW), four cylinders, and electric start. The engine currently has approximately 275 operating hours. The propulsion is via the inboard engine with a shaft. Both the fuel tank and the water tank have a capacity of 80 liters. The cruising speed is around 8 km/h, with a maximum speed of approximately 14 km/h.
The electrical installation was completely renewed in 2022, including a new battery pack (both start and service), a Victron inverter, battery charger, alternator, voltmeter, and shore power connection. The onboard voltage is 12V and 220V. There are three batteries present. Navigation equipment includes AIS, GPS, chart plotter, and a log/speedometer.
The boat is equipped with dual steering: a steering wheel is present both inside and on the flybridge. The flybridge offers an elevated view and is equipped with a recent cockpit tent and cover, both manufactured in 2024. The boat features a Vetus electrically operated bow thruster, which facilitates maneuvering, especially in harbors and when docking.
The rudder is single, and the rudder stock and rudder have been recently replaced. The hull is stable, and the gangways are spacious, contributing to safety and comfort on deck.
On deck, the boat is equipped with a sprayhood, tarpaulins, cockpit tent, fenders, lines, guardrail, swim platform, and swim ladder. The exterior equipment was partially renewed in 2024. A dinghy is not included. For anchoring, one anchor is available, without a winch or specific attachment.
The boat was taken out of the water for maintenance in 2024, during which an antifouling treatment was also performed. In 2023 and 2024, the underwater hull was provided with a new paint system. The superstructure of the cabin and flybridge has been partially repainted. Finishing the paintwork, including filling and topcoating, still needs to be done.
Known points of attention include replacing window rubbers, repairing condensation damage to the woodwork, and reupholstering the cushions. The Trumatic gas heater is operational but currently not connected. The gas connection is in order.
The current owner purchased the boat in 2018. Since then, various technical and cosmetic improvements have been made. The boat has been used for pleasure cruising, vacations, and weekend trips, mainly on inland waters. The owner cites the stability, spacious gangways, and flybridge as pleasant features during navigation.
The Bege Fly 900 is a steel motorboat with a flybridge, suitable for inland waters and recreational use. The boat is equipped with a recent diesel engine, renewed electrical installation, and various modern navigation tools. With a unique construction history and practical layout, this vessel offers a solid foundation for further personalization and use.
Documentation is available for interested parties, including maintenance history and engine data. The boat is not registered, and VAT has been paid. A trailer is not included. All equipment on board is included, along with a comprehensive explanation upon transfer.
