The Hunter 430 Legend is an American-made sailing yacht, designed with a focus on comfortable cruising and ease of use. This sailboat, built in 1996, has a length of 12.95 meters, a width of 4.27 meters, and a draft of 1.50 meters. The ship is registered in Poland, and VAT has been paid. Documentation such as registration and purchase invoice is available.
The Hunter 430 Legend offers a spacious and functional layout, suitable for longer stays on board. There are four fixed berths and two additional berths available, making the ship suitable for groups of up to six people. The interior space is equipped with various comfort-enhancing amenities, including air conditioning, hot air heating, an electric toilet system (not discharging directly into open water), a shower, and a hot water system.
The galley is equipped with a refrigerator, freezer, oven, stove, and microwave, facilitating meal preparation on board. The dining area offers ample seating for the entire group. Mattresses are present in the sleeping quarters.
The water tank has a capacity of 681 liters, which is sufficient for longer trips without frequent refilling. The wastewater tank has a capacity of 40 liters.
In 2023, a new Yanmar inboard diesel engine was installed with a power of 62 hp and four cylinders. The engine has only 9 operating hours and is electrically started. The boat is equipped with an electric bow thruster, which facilitates maneuvering in harbors and narrow waters.
In terms of electrical systems, the boat is equipped with a battery charger, alternator, inverter, voltmeter, shore power connection, and solar panels. The electrical installation operates on 12V, 110V, and 220V, providing flexibility in the use of equipment on board.
The Hunter 430 Legend is sloop-rigged and features one aluminum mast. The rigging consists of two sails, described as functional. The foresail is equipped with a furling system, simplifying reefing and hoisting. The standing rigging was replaced in 2016 with stainless steel cables.
For operating the sails, there are four halyard winches and two sheet winches. The Lewmar electric windlass operates two anchors (Rocna and Fortress), secured with chain. The boat is designed for solo sailing, with features including a Raymarine autopilot with remote control and a chain counter.
The navigation equipment includes a depth sounder, GPS, compass, log/speedometer, radar, and autopilot. This equipment makes the ship suitable for both coastal and offshore sailing. For safety, there are a lifebuoy, a liferaft (to be inspected by the buyer), and a self-draining cockpit.
On deck, the boat is equipped with a bimini, sprayhood, cockpit table, outdoor cushions, davits, pulpit and pushpit seats, fenders, lines, swim ladder, and a swim platform. The guardrail contributes to safety on deck. A Highfield RIB dinghy from 2016 with a Yamaha 6 hp outboard motor (short shaft) is included.
The current owner has owned the ship since 2016 and used it for day trips, pleasure cruising, vacations, and weekend trips. The boat has mainly been used at sea. Since purchase, investments have been made in renewals. The last antifouling treatment and maintenance out of the water took place in 2024. The boat has been on the hard for the past two years.
The Hunter 430 Legend is a polyester sailing yacht with a functional layout, modern engine, and extensive equipment for comfortable cruising. Thanks to the on-board amenities and equipment for solo sailing, the ship is suitable for both novice and experienced sailors looking for a spacious and practical yacht for longer trips. The combination of interior comfort, sailing ease, and technical equipment makes this ship an interesting option within its class.
