This Menken Dutchess is a unique vessel custom built in 2004, made entirely of low-maintenance polyester and perfectly suited for permanent living. The vessel offers space for longer stays with six permanent berths divided into three cabins, an additional sleeping option for two people, and comfortable amenities such as three toilets and two bathrooms, one with a bathtub. The boat has a length of 14.95 meters, a width of 4.80 meters and a headroom of 3.85 meters, making it ideal for both long-distance travel and living.
Equipped with two powerful, modern 2017 John Deere diesel engines, both rated at 125 hp, this Menken Dutchess offers excellent cruising performance and seaworthiness. The dual steering position and proportional bow and stern thrusters make for easy, controlled sailing. The helm position provides an uncluttered and authentic boating experience, and the flybridge features a hydraulic crane to hoist a small tender aboard.
Well-equipped accommodations aboard include a dining area, comfortable pillows, curtains, mattresses, and modern amenities such as an electric stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator, and freezer. Furthermore, the vessel has an electric toilet system, central heating system (currently disconnected), and a water tank with a capacity of 800 liters. In terms of navigation and electronics, the ship is equipped with autopilot, chartplotter, radar, VHF, depth sounder, compass, speedometer, and GPS.
The exterior of the Menken Dutchess is fully teak decked and has additional equipment such as a swim platform, swim ladder, outdoor cushions, sea railing, and hydraulic anchor chain. For safety, an electric bilge pump and life raft are provided.
Despite its good condition, the ship requires some maintenance work, including painting the hull and some technical adjustments. A unique vessel whose high-quality finish and seaworthiness lend themselves to long voyages and permanent residence.
