This Marken MK 1, built by Jachtwerf F. Dekker & Zo in Amsterdam, is a robust and seaworthy steel S-frame of 9.30 meters. Despite being built in 1970, the boat is in excellent condition due to a thorough refit and maintenance. It features a recent Mitsubishi S3L engine of 25 HP, good rigging with Quantum sails, and updated electrics, including a Multiplus battery charger/inverter and shore power facilities.
The interior accommodates 2 permanent and 2 additional berths, a dining area, pillows, a refrigerator, stove, mattresses and curtains. The manual toilet has a direct drain to open water, and heating is provided by a stove. The headroom inside is 195 cm, making for a comfortable living space.
Outside, the boat has a cockpit tent, teak deck, fenders, lines, a sea railing, pulpit and stern chairs, and a tarpaulin. The full winter tent is included, although it needs some repair.
With its sturdy construction and recently updated equipment, this Marken MK 1 is ready for many years of boating fun. It has recently been out of the water for maintenance and antifouling. The boat is unregistered and free of mortgages and encumbrances.
This vessel has guided the current owners through many waters, from Holland to Northern Europe, and is now ready for a new owner to continue adventures.
