This 1965 Folkboot Type 764 is a beautiful classic sailing yacht with excellent sailing characteristics, built by Hovmark in Denmark. The boat has a length of 7.64 meters and is made entirely of wood, with a hull of varnished Danish pine and mahogany superstructure. The boat is in good condition, thanks in part to thorough maintenance in the winter of 2023-2024 during which both hull and mast were stripped bare and repainted with 8 coats.
With an s-spant hull and fractional rigging (5/8), this Volksboot offers stability and balance even in heavier winds. Thanks to the thoughtful keel construction, the boat sails excellent downwind and is easy to handle, even for solo sailing.
The boat has four permanent berths, a two-burner gas stove, and offers comfortable accommodation with cushions and mattresses. The interior is solid mahogany, which adds to the authentic look. There is no hot water supply or toilet on board, but the practical layout makes it ideal for day trips or short weekends.
The outboard motor, a 2000 Yamaha 8 hp, was overhauled in April 2024 and can be easily retrieved from the cockpit. All lines are controllable from the cockpit, making sailing easy. The boat is fully equipped with a furling system for the headsail, five sails (mainsail, genoa, jib, storm jib, and spinnaker), and features a full inventory with safety equipment, life jackets, and navigation equipment.
