The White Pearl is an elegant and sporty S&S brand sailboat, type Alpa 11.50, built in 1974. With a length of 11.50 meters, a width of 3.20 meters and a draft of 1.80 meters, this polyester hull offers an ideal balance between speed and stability. Designed by Sparkman & Stephens, the boat has a classic S-frame hull and is steered with a steering wheel on the aft deck.
Inside the White Pearl there are sleeping areas for six, with a dining area, cushions, oven, stove and mattresses. The headroom of 1.90 meters makes for a comfortable living space, although there are some finishing points that still require attention. The boat is equipped with a manual toilet with discharge to open water and has a 300-liter water tank.
The engine, a 1999 Sole Mini 26 with 26 hp, has 700 running hours and works properly. This diesel engine is coupled to an 80-liter fuel tank and has a consumption of 1.5 liters per hour, with a maximum speed of 15 mph. Electronically, the boat is well equipped with a 12V system, including battery charger, inverter, shore power and alternator, as well as modern navigation equipment from B&G such as a 2021 AIS, VHF radio and chartplotter.
The White Pearl has an aluminum mast with furling mainsail and spinnaker, and is equipped with two anchors with chain, a manual windlass, a spray hood, swim ladder, fenders and lines. Although the boat has some minor flaws, such as a condensation spot in the back and finishing points, she is taken out of the water each year for maintenance and receives an annual antifouling treatment. With a private barge for winter storage and a sturdy design, this boat offers a charming combination of classic look and modern functionality for pleasure cruising and fast sailing performance.
