Specifications
The "Breeze" is a Gillissen 750 sailing yacht that still needs to be finished. This sailing yacht has a length of 750 centimeters and a width of 235 centimeters. Once finished, this yacht offers enough space for sailing on inland waterways. Her sturdy steel hull, in an s-frame shape, demonstrates durability and reliability.
The engine is a BMW Marine D12 diesel with an output of 10 hp. This has an electric start, but its operation is unknown. The boat is equipped with a wooden mast and two sails - a mainsail and a jib - which are in adequate condition. A headsail furling system provides additional convenience while sailing.
In terms of exterior equipment, the "Breeze" has a hand anchor winch for anchor management, and comes with a tarp for protection from the elements. Although some minor flaws are present, overall the boat is in good condition. The boat comes with a storage trailer.
The owner describes the "Breeze" as a fantastically beautiful project that is being offered for sale with pain in the heart. Gillissen boats are known for their very reliable fleets, but few people know that Mr. Gillissen began his career designing sailing yachts. The '750' model was one of those creations, focused on relaxed sailing and ample living space inside. This yacht was built in 1957 by the Royal Factory of Carriages and Railway Cars J.J. Beijnes. After several owners, it was purchased in 2015 from an older German couple. After this, it underwent a thorough restoration. After a year and a half of restoration, the "Breeze" went into storage, where she was well preserved. Although the restoration came to a halt and the owner is now offering the boat for sale, the "Breeze" still offers an opportunity for lovers of Dutch yachts with a rich history to finish this unique vessel.
