The Blue Dolphin is a special 'wooden' boat built in 1967 by Chris Craft (US). In the period 1964-1968, 52 were built, as far as known there is still one sailing around in the Netherlands. In 2016 the hull and decks were completely restored. An extensive photo reportage of this restoration is available. Original engines have been replaced by 2 Isuzu (very solid and older) diesel engines of 63 kW (85.6 hp) each with fixed propeller shafts. By using both engines maneuvering is very easy. The boat is an eye-catcher and fully ready to sail.
