The "Dolphin" is a distinctive sailing yacht with a rich history and much to offer adventurous sailors. Designed by Bekebrede, this ship has a sturdy and seaworthy steel construction, which makes it ideal for long sea voyages and pleasure cruises on various waters, including seas, inland waters, lakes, ponds and rivers.
With a length of 11.40 meters, a width of 3.30 meters and a draft of 1.30 meters, the "Dolphin" offers enough space and stability for a comfortable cruise. It has an impressive headroom of 15 meters.
The interior of the boat accommodates 6 fixed berths and has an additional berth. Interior headroom is generous at 190 centimeters, so you won't feel restricted in accommodation space. The dining area has pillows and curtains and is equipped with a refrigerator and stove for preparing meals during your trip. Although the stove is no longer present, there is a diesel hookup for heating.
The boat is equipped with an electric toilet and has a water tank with a capacity of 200 liters. The toilet drain directly into the open water.
The engine of the "Dolphin" is a Peugeot Diesel XD90 with an output of 50 hp. The engine is electrically started and gives the boat a maximum speed of 15 km/h. The electronic equipment includes measuring instruments such as a fuel tank gauge, oil pressure gauge, tachometer, temperature gauge, wind and sailing speedometer, depth gauge and digital compass.
The "Dolphin" comes with a complete sail plan, including a mainsail, jib and spinnaker. The sails are described as in good condition, although there are older sails on board. The headsail is operated by a furling system for easy maneuvering.
Outside, the boat has a hand anchor winch for anchoring with a chain and line. Equipment also includes a spray hood, sea railing, fenders and lines, cockpit table, swim ladder and pulpit and stern chairs. The cockpit is finished in teak, giving a luxurious look. A dinghy with an electric outboard motor is included for your trips to and from the boat.
Safety is a priority aboard the "Dolphin," with amenities such as a life buoy, self-bailing cockpit, life jackets and a fire extinguisher. There is also an electric bilge pump to keep the boat dry.
The boat has some minor flaws, including an engine that is difficult to start due to prolonged downtime and old diesel in the tank. However, with some attention and maintenance, the "Dolphin" can be returned to top shape and is ready for new adventures on the water.
