Specifications
The "Pion" is a cabin sailing yacht with a rich history and some unique features. With a length of 9.05 meters and a width of 2.93 meters, this boat offers enough space for comfortable sailing and staying on board. The yacht was built in 1974 by the yard Lewin B.V. and designed by Van de Stadt, which already indicates a well thought-out and seaworthy construction.
The boat has a cozy cabin with accommodation for 5 fixed berths and an additional 2 berths. The headroom inside is generous at 1.90 meters, making for a comfortable living environment. The cabin is equipped with pillows, mattresses and curtains, and there is a stove for preparing meals. Unfortunately, there is no hot water on board, but there is a water tank with a capacity of 100 liters.
Although the boat does not have luxury amenities such as air conditioning, there is a heater on board to provide warmth during colder cruises. The boat is equipped with a manual toilet.
As for the technical specifications, the boat has a Yanmar engine with an output of 18 hp, but currently the engine is not working. The boat has a comprehensive electrical system with battery chargers, shore power and an alternator. Navigation equipment includes a compass, depth gauge, autopilot, chart plotter, VHF radio, log speedometer and GPS.
In terms of sailing equipment, the "Pion" has a lot to offer. With an aluminum mast and a total of 5 sails, including a mainsail, genoa, storm jib, spinnaker and jib, this boat offers plenty of sailing possibilities. The condition of the sails is described as fair, so they may require some attention and maintenance.
Externally, the "Pion" is well equipped with two anchors, a hand winch, a cockpit tent, pulpit and stern chairs, a swim ladder, a cockpit table, outdoor cushions, sea railing and fenders and lines for safety and comfort while sailing.
Onboard safety equipment includes a fire extinguisher, life jackets, a life buoy and a self-draining cockpit. A manual bilge pump is also available.
All in all, the "Pion" is a seaworthy cabin yacht with potential for enjoyable cruising and staying aboard, but keep in mind that there are some minor flaws that require attention and repair, including repainting the boat, repairing the non-working engine, replacing a battery and repairing a broken zipper on a cushion.
