Specifications
The Marlin is a Vanguard brand steel sailboat with a V-bottom hull shape. With a length of 9.20 meters and a width of 2.70 meters, the boat offers enough space to stay and sail comfortably. The boat has a draft of 1.45 meters and can accommodate two fixed berths and two additional berths.
The accommodation of the boat is equipped with pillows and mattresses and has a stove. In addition, hot water is available and the boat has a 50-liter water tank. The toilet is manual and the toilet drain directly into the open water. Heating is not available in the boat.
The boat is powered by a working BMW D12 diesel engine with one cylinder and a tank capacity of 40 liters. There are gauges such as a fuel tank gauge and a temperature gauge. There are no bow thruster or stern thruster present.
In terms of electronics and navigation, the boat is equipped with a depth sounder and a VHF radio. There are two batteries and there is electricity on board thanks to an inverter and solar panels. However, these solar panels are not yet connected and/or in use.
The rigging of the boat consists of one aluminum mast and three sails (a mainsail, a jib and a headsail furling system). The condition of the sails is described as adequate.
