The Shamrock is a 1974 One Off AN24 sailboat with a length of 10 meters, a width of 3 meters and a draft of 1.9 meters. The boat is built of polyester and has a Belgian flag certificate with registration number 53320.
Although the boat has some defects, it still offers potential for adventure and pleasure boating. The previous owner, who built the boat himself, used it as a vacation home for many years.
Accommodation aboard the Shamrock includes a dining area, oven, refrigerator, mattresses, curtains and a stove. A total of 3 permanent berths and 2 additional berths are available. The water tank has a capacity of 200 liters. The manual toilet leads directly to open water.
The boat is powered by a working Volvo Penta engine with 3 cylinders, which can be electrically started. The electronics and navigation equipment include a compass, autopilot, chart plotter and VHF radio. Note that the autopilot does not function and an upgrade is required for the chartplotter.
As for the rigging, the Shamrock has one mast made of aluminum and 2 sails are included. Please note that the sails are in poor condition. The boat is equipped with a furling jib.
Exterior equipment consists of one anchor with chain attachment and an electric windlass. There is also a cockpit tent, tarpaulin and teak deck. For safety, there is a manual bilge pump on board.
The boat was last out of the water three years ago for maintenance and antifouling treatment. The boat has no osmosis or traces of it according to the owner's statement. However, there are known defects, such as the lack of a spray hood, sails in poor condition, and rainwater coming in somewhere. The boat requires general refurbishment work.
In short, the Shamrock offers an opportunity to own a sailboat with potential, but repairs and refurbishments are needed to bring the boat to optimum condition.
