Specifications
The Gloria is a comfortable Carter 33 sailboat with a length of 9.98 meters and a width of 3.25 meters. Built in 1972, this boat has a polyester hull and is in a condition with many defects. Despite some cosmetic shortcomings, the boat is technically well maintained and up to date, so it is in good condition in terms of structural and technical aspects.
The interior of the boat accommodates five people in permanent berths, with an additional two berths available. There is a spacious dining area, complete with cushions, where crew and guests can relax comfortably. Accommodations include an oven, refrigerator, mattresses, stove, microwave and hot water supply. The vessel also has a manual toilet, the discharge of which is directly into the open water. For heating, a hot-air system is available.
The Gloria is powered by a working Volvo Penta MD 2020 engine with an output of 27 hp, which is electrically started. The engine has only 400 running hours and uses about 3 liters of diesel per hour. The maximum speed of the boat is 12 knots. The fuel tank has a capacity of 75 liters. The control panel of the Volvo engine is equipped with measuring instruments such as a tachometer, temperature and oil pressure alarm.
In terms of electronics and navigation, the boat is equipped with a compass, depth gauge, autopilot, chart plotter, radar, log speedometer, wind meter and GPS. Voltage on board is 12V, and two batteries are provided, along with a battery charger, inverter, shore power connection and voltmeter.
The rig consists of one aluminum mast and five sails, including a mainsail, genoa, jib, spinnaker and gennaker. The sail gear is considered adequate, and a genoa reefing system is present.
In terms of outside equipment, the Gloria is equipped with one anchor, which is attached with a line. The boat has pulpit and stern chairs, a swim ladder, cockpit table, outdoor cushions, sea railing, fenders and lines. In addition, there is a life buoy, fire extinguisher and life jackets for safety purposes. The bilge pump is electric.
The boat is registered under the Belgian flag certificate. The Gloria was last out of the water for maintenance in 2022 and has no osmosis or traces of it. However, the boat requires polishing and painting.
