The Flying Fox has been used by the owner for the past 14 years for various trips on the European waterways. The longest one-way trip was over the North Sea from Breskens to Lowerstoft, about 11 hours. There has also been almost everywhere in the area between Utrecht (the Netherlands) in the north to Pont-a-Bar (France) in the south and west of this line from Honfleur (France) up via Eastbourne and London to Lowerstoft (United Kingdom).
The boat has always offered the owner comfort in all weather conditions ranging from snow to hail and in heavy rain showers, but also during very hot weather. Also during swaying sea conditions of no wind and a flat sea up to wind force 5 to 6 Bft with gusts of 7 Bft and 3 meter high waves in the Channel.
The Beachcraft 48 is a very spacious ship on which you could live permanently. There is a good stove in it that can easily heat the boat. The seating area is very cosy and pleasant to stay in. You can also send in from here. It is also possible to steer outside in good weather. Now the hood is on so you can keep the heat well inside. Roof hatches have been installed that open easily to let the heat out with nice weather.
In the front of the point 2 people can sleep well. and in the back of the boat is a very spacious double bed with bathroom and toilet facilities. The boat has a spacious kitchen and large dining area where the whole family can eat.
The engines run very well and are always neatly maintained. Since the engines have been refurbished, they've been running for few hours. 1st engine 350 hours and 2nd engine 400 hours.
A pleasant boat that can sail large distances with ease and where you can stay longer.
Maintenance to the underwater hull has always been carried out by the Royal Yacht Club in Brussels.
