Inspired by the Motor Torpedo boat used by the British Navy in the 1920s, the Breedendam MTB with its retro lines is a real head-turn. A unique feature of the design of these yachts is their slender vertical bow and stern that is almost as wide as the beam amidships - the slim hull shape and the powerful 75 hp Yanmar diesel engine ensure that the "Eveweg" has an exceptionally high top speed.
"Eveweg" is well cared for and stored inside in winter (and also during the last 3 summers). In mid-2014, her hull and deck were completely re-sanded and repainted (12 coats, plus 3 coats sprayed) and her entire canopy was replaced in 2012 (in addition to the convertible top that covers the cockpit, there is a high rear tent extension that covers the rear deck / dining area and provides cosy evenings with cooler protection). There is a movable table that can sit on the aft deck or in its original place in the cabin.
There is also an electric cooler, sink, a portable hob/grill and a chemical toilet, as well as new lifejackets. Stazo deck locks are installed on both sides of the aft deck so that they can be safely and easily locked from both sides, depending on the mooring situation.
