This Van de Stadt is a wooden, old, but beautiful sailboat. She was last out of the water for maintenance more than 3 years ago.Ericus Gerhardus van de Stadt was a Dutch designer of recreational vessels, especially sailing ships. He was the founding father of industrial yacht building in the Netherlands. In the late 1960s, E.G. van de Stadt put the design for the knuckleboat the "Primate" on paper. This was in response to the growing demand for small seaworthy yachts that could be easily built by himself for little money.
