Robust Construction and Timeless Design
The hull of the Lelievlet 560 is entirely made of steel, contributing to the solid appearance and durability of the vessel. With a draft of only 30 centimeters, this sloop is particularly suitable for shallow waters, such as city waters and rural sailing routes. Thanks to its classic silhouette and understated lines, the boat fits effortlessly into both urban and natural environments. The boat is custom-built, which is reflected in the finish and thoughtful layout.
Motorization and Sailing Properties
The Lelievlet 560 is equipped with a Yamaha FT8DMHL outboard motor from 2005. This 8 hp four-stroke engine is electrically started and runs on gasoline. The motor is functional and provides sufficient power for leisurely sailing through canals and narrow waterways. The combination of the steel underwater hull and the outboard motor ensures a stable and controlled sail, even in changing conditions. Steering is done from the outside position, providing direct contact with the water and intuitive handling.
Equipment and Ease of Use
The boat comes complete with all essential parts, including a custom-made sail (renewed in 2021), a fuel tank, a battery, and the accompanying documentation. The available battery powers the electric start of the motor. The boat was taken out of the water for maintenance in 2023, during which an antifouling treatment was also performed. The low entry and stable position make boarding easy and safe.
Suitable for Various Sailing Areas
This Lelievlet has mainly been used on canals and ditches, where it feels right at home. The shallow draft and compact size make it possible to maneuver effortlessly in narrow waterways and sail under low bridges. This makes the boat particularly suitable for urban environments such as Amsterdam, Utrecht, or other historic city centers with an extensive network of canals.
A Boat with Character and History
The current owner has used and maintained the boat with care for many years. The Lelievlet has regularly been taken out of the water for inspection and maintenance, and the motor has also received a service during those times. The boat has been lovingly used for day trips and special moments on the water, contributing to the charm and character of this vessel.
For those looking for a classic steel sloop with a practical layout, a functional outboard motor, and a timeless design, this Lelievlet 560 offers an attractive option. The boat is ready to sail and immediately deployable for the upcoming sailing season.
