The Dehler Optima 92 is a versatile and spacious sailboat, designed by Van de Stadt and built by Dehler. This model, from 1978, combines stability with a thoughtful design, making it suitable for both inland and coastal waters. The S-shaped hull construction contributes to a comfortable and smooth sailing experience, while the available navigation equipment ensures accurate course determination.
With a length of 9.20 meters, a width of 3.00 meters, and a draft of 1.70 meters, this sailboat offers ample space and stability. The clearance height of 12.00 meters and the interior headroom of 1.95 meters make the boat accessible and comfortable for longer stays on board. The hull design with a single rudder construction and wheel steering ensures good maneuverability and a pleasant sailing experience.
The interior space is arranged with a practical layout and offers sleeping accommodations for five people (three fixed and two additional). The cabin features a dining area, a kitchen with a two-burner gas stove, a refrigerator (Isotherm), and a hot water supply. The heater with thermostat provides pleasant temperatures during colder days. Additionally, there is plenty of storage space available, with multiple cabinets and storage compartments.
The boat is equipped with a manual toilet that discharges directly into open water. The water supply consists of a water tank with a capacity of 140 liters, an automatic water pump, and an outdoor shower with hot and cold water.
The Dehler Optima 92 has an aluminum mast with four sails: jib, gennaker, mainsail, and spinnaker. The mainsail was renewed in 2021, and the foresail is equipped with a furling system. Lazy jacks facilitate reefing the mainsail. The rigging was replaced in 2017.
The boat is powered by a Volvo Penta MD11C inboard diesel engine with a power of 23 hp and two cylinders. The engine is electrically started and was inspected in 2023. The fuel tank gauge, temperature gauge, and tachometer provide clear insight into the engine's performance. The electrical installation is expanded with a battery charger, inverter, shore power, and an 80W solar panel.
The boat is equipped with an advanced navigation system, including a Raymarine Axiom 9 chartplotter with Navionics charts for the Benelux and Germany. Additionally, there is an autopilot, AIS receiver, depth meter, log/speedometer, wind meter, and VHF radio (Raymarine Ray240E). The Raymarine SPX-5 autopilot with remote control makes long journeys more comfortable.
On deck, there is a manual anchor winch, an anchor with chain and line, a sprayhood, cockpit tent, and outdoor cushions. The cockpit is equipped with a self-draining system. For safety, there is a lifebuoy, guardrail, and fenders with lines available.
Various accessories are included in the sale, including a spinnaker pole, radar reflector, mooring lines, spare diesel jerrycan, and various winch handles. The boat also features an adjustable table, curtains and carpet, and two folding seats.
This Dehler Optima 92 was acquired in April from the second owner and is being sold due to relocation abroad. The boat has mainly been used for leisure sailing and vacations on inland waters and seas. The available documentation, such as invoices for the rigging (2017), the mainsail (2021), and the engine inspection (2023), is available.
This Dehler Optima 92 offers a combination of sailing performance and comfort. With a spacious interior, extensive navigation equipment, and a well-equipped technical installation, this is an attractive choice for both recreational and serious sailors. The boat is ready for new adventures and offers plenty of opportunities for sailing enjoyment on both inland waters and open sea.
