The Schouw 900 is a stable and versatile motor yacht 9 meters long and 3.2 meters wide, built in 1975 at the renowned Blok yard. With a draft of only 65 cm and a clearance of 2.10 meters, this boat is excellent for sailing on inland waterways, lakes, ponds, rivers and even narrow canals. The hull has a flat bottom, which contributes to stability and comfort on board. The boat offers fixed berths for three people and additional sleeping space for two, with an interior space where headroom is 1.84 meters.
The interior is well equipped with a dining area, pillows, oven, refrigerator, mattresses, curtains, and a stove. Hot water is available through a geyser with electric ignition, and there is room for installing a shower. The boat has a manual toilet whose drain does not go directly into open water.
The engine is a Vetus M4.14 diesel engine with 33 hp and 1,114 running hours, recently serviced in March 2023. Although the engine sometimes takes a little longer to start, it otherwise functions excellently. The boat has a maximum speed of 12 mph and is equipped with an electrically operated bow thruster for extra maneuverability. The electrical system includes two batteries, a solar panel, battery charger, inverter, and shore power connection.
Exterior equipment is complete with two anchors, a manual windlass, spray hood, tarpaulin, pulpit and stern chairs, swim ladder, cockpit table, outdoor cushions, fenders and lines, and a cockpit tent. For safety, a life buoy, life jackets, a CO2 alarm, gas alarm, and a manual bilge pump are provided.
Originally built as a sailing "block-sailer," the boat was later converted into a comfortable motor yacht.
