Specifications
Doerak 750 OK – Steel Motorboat with Practical Layout and Functional Equipment
The Doerak 750 OK is a familiar sight on the Dutch inland waterways. This steel motorboat is known for its characteristic hull shape with a flat bottom, which ensures a stable position on the water. With a length of 7.50 meters, a width of 2.85 meters, and a draft of only 70 cm, this Doerak is extremely suitable for trips on lakes, rivers, canals, and ponds. Thanks to the clearance height of 2.40 meters, most fixed bridges in the Netherlands can be passed without problems, making the boat suitable for many sailing areas.
Construction and Layout
The hull is entirely made of steel, contributing to the robustness of the ship. The boat features an interior steering position with a steering wheel and a single rudder. The headroom is 1.85 meters, providing enough space for a comfortable stay on board. The Doerak 750 OK is equipped with an open cockpit (OK), which ensures a direct connection with the outdoors and a spacious feeling on board.
Inside, the boat is functionally arranged with a dining area, a foldable stove, a 24-volt compressor refrigerator, and three fixed berths. The mattresses were renewed in 2023. The sanitary facilities consist of a chemical toilet.
Motorization and Technology
Propulsion is provided by an inboard diesel engine with a power of 36 hp, distributed over four cylinders. The engine is electrically started and has a registered number of operating hours of 4117. The cruising speed is around 8 km/h, with a maximum speed of approximately 13 km/h. The fuel tank has a capacity of 150 liters, providing sufficient range for longer trips.
The electrical installation on board consists of two batteries of 120 Ah each (total 240 Ah), a battery charger, alternator, inverter, shore power connection, and a voltmeter. The voltage on board is 12V, except for the refrigerator. Instruments such as an oil pressure gauge, temperature gauge, and tachometer are present for monitoring engine performance.
Maintenance and Equipment
In 2022, the boat was taken out of the water for maintenance on the underwater hull, including an antifouling treatment. In 2023, various renewals were carried out, including a new skylight and new cushions.
The exterior equipment consists of fenders and lines. There is one anchor present, secured with chain and line.
Suitable Use
The Doerak 750 OK has been used for various recreational purposes such as day trips, weekend stays, and vacations.
