With a length of 3.78 meters and a width of 1.70 meters, this boat offers ample space for multiple passengers. The boat is made of polyester, a material known for its durability and low maintenance.
Dimensions and Layout
The Open Boat 378 has a length of 378 cm and a width of 170 cm. The draft is 20 cm, making the boat suitable for shallower waters such as ditches and canals. Thanks to the open layout, there is enough seating space for a group of about six people. This makes the boat suitable for recreational use, such as day trips with family or friends.
Material and Construction
The hull of the boat is made of polyester. This material is lightweight and resistant to external influences, such as water and sunlight. The interior of the boat was repainted four years ago. No known defects have been reported, and no signs of osmosis have been detected.
Motorization
The boat comes with a Torqeedo Travel 1103 electric outboard motor. This motor was made in 2020 and has a power of 3 hp. The motor is electrically started and runs on a battery, providing a quiet and environmentally friendly boating experience. Electric propulsion is ideal for use on waters where combustion engines are not allowed or where silence is desired, such as nature reserves or urban canals.
The motor has not been used since 2024, but according to reports, it is still operational. The combination of a lightweight polyester hull and an electric motor makes this boat suitable for short to medium-length trips on calm waters.
Maintenance and Use
The boat was last taken out of the water for maintenance in 2023. No recent antifouling treatment has been performed. The boat has mainly been used for pleasure boating in the immediate vicinity of the current owner's home, particularly on ditches and canals.
