Dufour 1800 Sailing Yacht – Year of Construction 1980 – Polyester Cabin Sailing Yacht with Belgian Flag Certificate
This Dufour 1800 cabin sailing yacht from 1980 is a design by L. Cordelle and the Dufour shipyard, built with a round-bilge hull of fiberglass-reinforced polyester. The vessel has a length of 7.65 meters, a width of 2.71 meters, and a draft of 1.20 meters. The air draft is approximately 11 meters, making the yacht suitable for both inland and coastal waters. The cabin headroom is 1.75 meters.
The hull is made of polyester and, according to an independent inspection report from 2022, shows signs of moisture absorption in the gelcoat and blistering in the hull paint. There is no severe osmosis blistering, but moisture was detected in the laminate. The full inspection is available for review during the viewing day. In 2023, the yacht was taken out of the water for maintenance, during which two layers of Primocon primer and new antifouling were applied. All skin fittings and seacocks were replaced in the same year.
The Dufour 1800 offers four fixed berths and is equipped with a dining area, mattresses, and a stove. The manual toilet is connected to a closed system and does not discharge directly into open water. The interior space is functionally arranged for short to medium stays on board.
The boat is equipped with a Sole Mini 17 inboard diesel engine with a power of 16 hp. This two-cylinder engine was installed in 2010 and is started electrically. The engine is coupled with a Technodrive gearbox (model TMC). There are two batteries on board, and the electrical system operates on 12V. The engine is equipped with a folding propeller and measuring instruments such as a fuel tank gauge, temperature gauge, and tachometer.
The sail plan consists of a furling mainsail and a genoa, both supplied by Den Boer Sails in 2020 and made of Dacron. The mast is made of aluminum. The foresail is equipped with a furling system, which simplifies sailing. Steering is done via a tiller in the open cockpit. An autopilot is present and included in the sale.
In terms of navigation, the yacht is equipped with a depth sounder, log/speedometer, and a VHF radio. For safety, there is a lifebuoy and a manual bilge pump. The boat features a guardrail, fenders, lines, and a swim ladder. A sprayhood and outdoor deck cushions enhance comfort on deck. A cockpit table is also available.
The boat is registered under the Belgian flag with a flag certificate and registration number B410326. VAT has been paid. Extensive documentation is available, including:
