This 1967 Contest 29 Langkieler is a classic polyester sailing yacht designed by G. Luyten and built at the Conyplex shipyard. The ship has a length of 8.70 meters, a width of 2.55 meters and a draft of 1.40 meters. With an S-frame hull, the boat offers excellent course stability, especially in waves and during long trips.
The accommodation can accommodate four permanent berths, with the possibility of an additional bed. The interior offers comfortable amenities such as a dining area, mattresses, curtains and a stove with running water, making the stay on board pleasant. The cabin has retractable beds and a removable table that can also be used in the cockpit.
The engine is a working 1965 Marstal F2 gasoline engine with an output of 10 hp, and a 4 hp outboard as an additional option. Although the engine's running hours are not known, consumption is relatively low at 7 liters per hour. The boat has modern electrical features, such as a battery charger, shore power and an alternator, as well as navigation equipment such as a compass, depth gauge and GPS.
In terms of rigging, the boat has one aluminum mast and four sails in adequate condition: mainsail, genoa, storm jib and jib. The boat is further equipped with safety features such as life jackets and electric bilge pump.
Despite some minor flaws, the boat is in good condition and was recently taken out of the water for maintenance and antifouling treatment in July 2022. Its robust construction and excellent sailing characteristics make this an ideal vessel for both inland and sea sailing.
