Motor cruiser named "Rose." Although she bears her age, this boat certainly does not fall short of more modern vessels when it comes to boating characteristics such as maneuverability and stability. The boat is perfect for adventures on inland waterways and lakes.
The history of this boat is fascinating. The current owners acquired her in 2021 from a German couple who, due to a divorce, were forced to part with their beloved possession. They have owned the boat for about five years, as evidenced by the available sailing charts and other documents. In the past two years we have made wonderful cruises in Friesland with this handy boat.
Our best memory of the boat is the peace and freedom she has given us. Despite our busy jobs, where time is sometimes scarce, after a cruise we felt like we had been on vacation for a week. The cozy cabin offered us a cozy place to relax, and the boat was reliable, even in the locks.
Now, however, we have to say goodbye to "Rose" because of an engine problem. While this can be challenging, it actually presents a great opportunity for technical experts with connections on the used engine circuit. With proper care and attention, this little boat can be made ready to sail again and face new adventures.
The boat has flaws, such as a faulty fuel pump whose parts are no longer available. The deck and cockpit also need attention to bring them into optimal condition. The boat was last taken out of the water for maintenance in 2017.
As for specifications, "Rose," she has a v-bottom hull shape and is steered with a steering wheel. Accommodation includes a dining area, pillows, mattresses, curtains and a stove. There is no hot water on board and the boat is equipped with a manual toilet that discharges the drain directly into the open water. Heating is provided by a hot-air system.
The boat's engine, a 40-hp Peugeot Indenor, is currently inoperative. The starting type is manual and the boat can reach a maximum speed of 15 km. The engine has about 3225 running hours on the counter. There are two batteries and the boat is equipped with a bow thruster.
In terms of electronics and navigation, the boat has a fuel gauge, tachometer and temperature gauge. There are also several electrical features, including a battery charger, inverter, shore power connection and an alternator.
Exterior equipment includes a cockpit tent, davits and a swim platform. For safety, there is a fire extinguisher on board.
There is documentation for the bow thruster, stove and engine.
In short, the boat "Rose" offers a great opportunity for lovers of boating adventures. With skill, attention and love, she can be brought back to life and offer you unforgettable moments of peace and freedom. Are you a technical connoisseur with connections in the engine circuit? Then this boat might be the perfect choice for you.
