The Blue Moon is a charming sailing houseboat of the Parlevinker brand. At 1340 feet long, 340 feet wide and 95 feet draft, this boat offers plenty of space and stability on the water. The boat's year of construction is 1955, which adds a touch of nostalgia to its character.
This houseboat is designed to be comfortable and cozy, with an interior that is thoughtfully decorated. Inside you will find a dining area, comfortable pillows, a shower, a refrigerator, mattresses, curtains, a stove and a microwave. Hot water is available, and the water tank has a capacity of 450 liters. The electric toilet is connected to the toilet drain that discharges directly into the open water. A heater provides heating on board, allowing you to enjoy the boat all year round.
The Blue Moon is powered by a working Daf engine rated at 120 hp. With a maximum speed of 12 knots, you can cruise comfortably on different waters. The boat has a tank capacity of 500 liters and an average fuel consumption of 4.5 liters per hour. Important gauges such as an oil pressure gauge, temperature gauge, depth gauge and water tank gauge are provided to keep an eye on the engine and electrical systems.
As for electronics and navigation, the boat is equipped with a compass and depth gauge to help you navigate safely on the water. There are four batteries present, along with a battery charger, inverter, solar panel, shore power and voltmeter to ensure adequate electricity on board. A Pando generator is also present, but not currently working.
Exterior equipment includes two anchors with chain, an electric windlass and various accessories such as a spray hood, cockpit tent, cockpit table, davits, sea railing, swim platform, fenders and lines. Safety equipment such as a life buoy and fire extinguisher are provided to ensure safety on board. An electric bilge pump is also installed to regulate the water level in the boat.
The boat has some minor defects, including paintwork that needs to be done and the engine in need of service. The last time the boat was out of the water for maintenance and antifouling treatment was in 2020. Fortunately, the boat has no osmosis or signs of it.
